My Role at Nexus Alpha

I joined the company in 2017, initially as a contractor where I helped design the first version of the ARRAKIS App. My role has expanded a huge amount since then and I now run the design and marketing teams – where I’m ultimately responsible for all output in those areas. This includes branding, marketing campaigns, strategy, social media and product design.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work

In the last few years I’ve rediscovered how happy playing the piano makes me, so I try to play for at least half an hour a day. I also love writing and I’m working on my second novel as well as a selection of short stories.

My fun fact

I failed my driving test 3 times – the third time by driving the wrong way around aroundabout. I’m also partially colourblind.

My Role at Nexus Alpha

I’ve been with Nexus Alpha for over 4 years and my role has been taking care of the social media, marketing our products and services as well as managing PR opportunities. I work closely with Alastair taking care of our branding, strategy and website designs for Nexus Alpha.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work

Going on long walks in search of overpriced (but good) coffee, going to the cinema and watching some classic chick flicks at home. I’ve recently got into baking as well, my 5 year old swears I make the best cupcakes – she’s not wrong.

My fun fact

I used to play the violin and once performed at the Royal Festival Hall with the school band.

UI/UX Designer for ARRAKIS App & Portal

My Role at Nexus Alpha

I have been working at Nexus Alpha since 2020 and my main duty is designing the ARRAKIS portal. I have also helped the App team and I participated in various projects. As UX/UI Designer I’m responsible for creating user-friendly interfaces and providing an exceptional and intuitive application design.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work

I love tennis and football since I was very young. I’m a big fan of Real Madrid and I don’t
miss any of their games. Also, traveling is my passion and I visit a different city every month.

My fun fact

I worked three years in Nando’s, even though I don’t like spicy chicken.
