Mark Branscombe

Software Test Manager

I joined Nexus Alpha in August 2005 as a software test engineer. I first began my career in IT as a test and support engineer in 1984 at FX International; a company that designed and manufactured IBM compatible PC’s and communications equipment. After gaining an ONC and HNC in electrical and electronic engineering my duties here included debugging hand built mother boards and supporting customer hardware. As my interest in operating systems and software grew I applied for a position as a support engineer in a software development company. Since then I have worked in 5 other software houses carrying out product testing, support and training on a number of bespoke applications.

TyrellCheck

TyrellCheck is the first in the new generation of Tyrell solutions. It is based on the same technology as JourneyCheck and makes operational information available via client intranets or through direct secure internet access.

Information posted by Tyrell systems can be filtered by users viewing the data, ensuring that relevant information can be highlighted.

TyrellCheck therefore gives the potential to anybody with web access and security clearance to view business critical information about the current state of their transport network including all related operational messaging. Documents can also be uploaded to TyrellCheck, again by those with clearance, allowing for effective and efficient distribution of urgent documentation.

TyrellCheck will be launched in mid-October.
